Newfoundland and Labrador's Representation in Cabinet

With the prospect of Newfoundland and Labrador being represented by an MP from elsewhere in Canada we face the prospect of being a colony of a different sort. If you think it is important that NL be represented by a Newfoundlander or Labradorian let your government know:

Look up your MP

As anyone who read my commentary on Web Talk today can tell you, I am sick of this question and don't agree with anyone making attempts to find local representation in the Harper cabinet.

We voted, we knew that voting as we did would leave us with nobody in cabinent (not that we are ever truly represented) so it's time to move on and forget about it.

What makes anyone who has decided to not be represented think they then have the right to fight for representation?

Give me a break.

That's not an uncommon view Patriot. I take a little different slant from you on this one though. If the choice were representation or no representation I'd be with you, but when the choice is having a representive appointed by the federal government from away, or from here - I'd have to insist they be from here. Anything else is too colonial for me.

As anyone who read my commentary on newfoundlandincanada today can tell you :)
